April Resource List Update
Every other month, we share our Big Resource List on our blog. The list has been evolving and growing for six years, since the launch of Alma Partners, and it’s designed to connect you with the tools you need to make your curriculum relevant for today’s students; to help you share links with parents, caregivers and colleagues; and to inspire you!
The list includes sections on:
Anti-Bias Education
Anti-Racist Book Recommendations
Curriculum Resources
Films, Shows, and Videos
Organizations and Resources for Parents and Caregivers
Podcast Recommendations
Professional Development Resources for Educators
Recommendations for Inclusive Picture Books for Children
Resources on Trauma-Informed Pedagogy, Bonding, and Parenting
Social Media Accounts to Follow
and much more!
Whether you’re a teacher, parent/caregiver, or someone interested in inclusion and belonging, there’s something on the resource list for you! Please let us know if you don’t see a resource you love on the list, and ask us to add it.
How else does Alma Partners support schools and organizations?
Alma Partners is a diverse, multiracial, multigenerational group of 11 experienced consultants and facilitators who offer workshops, courses, student leadership conferences, organizational audits, individual and group consultation, strategic planning, curriculum review and development, and more for schools and other organizations.
Founded in 2020 after 10 years of germination, we are unique in having decades of experience in schools, nonprofits, and movements for social justice, while understanding the imperatives for educators to bring age-appropriate content to students and organizational leaders to build bridges and navigate differing opinions in their communities.
Drawing on our individual and collective background leading transformational, anti-racist, anti-bias work with soul (“alma” in Spanish), we are currently engaged with several non-profit organizations as well as about 40 schools (public and private), mainly in the Waldorf movement in the US and Canada. Our unique, heart-centered, relationship-based approach is also well-suited to Montessori schools and other independent schools, as well as homeschooling groups.
We works across four main areas:
